The 1×6 Jende Silicone Carbide stones, available in #80 and #120 grit, offer aggressive sharpening solutions for various needs. The #80 grit stone, an extra-extra coarse option, is ideal for substantial profiling and repairs, despite possibly leaving slightly pronounced scratches above the bevel. Its ability to remove metal efficiently makes it a valuable substitute for coarse diamond plates and similar sharpening stones.
The #120 grit stone, an extra coarse variant, serves well for serious profiling, initial sharpening, and repair tasks. Although less aggressive than the #80 grit, it still delivers effective sharpening results.
Both stones, measuring 1″x 6″ x 5mm and mounted on steel blanks, are exclusively used with water and perform optimally when soaked briefly before use. Storing them in a dry place between uses ensures their longevity and effectiveness.
